Vocational Counseling

Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling is a specialized form of counseling that focuses on helping individuals who have experienced a work related injury/illness navigate return-to-work. Our role is to assist workers through this process and ensuring understanding and clarity of the process.

The primary goal of vocational counseling is to help individuals return to suitable careers following injury or illness, that align with their skill, strengths and goals. This process can take time and requires that we as Vocational Counselors work alongside the medical and claim management teams, doing out best to work toward a positive outcome for our clients.

Our work with clients often involves a variety of skill and knowledge assessments and exercises to clarify potential career paths. When we have a better understanding of a client’s vocational interests and abilities, counselors can then provide guidance and support in exploring suitable career options, should it be needed within the scope of our work.
